Reusable, custom grocery totes in various sizes are awesome. Take it from someone who does the bulk of the grocery shopping and grocery toting for a household of six. This, of course, includes triplet boys on target to grow up to be over six feet tall. I burn a whole lot of calories trying to keep up with their rapid food consumption. I like the grocery-hauling to be as efficient as possible, and sturdy, custom printed tote bags help me make the grocery restocking process less of a chore.
I know all of you might not be fans of gigantic grocery totes being that they quickly get heavy, but I heart my gigantic, non-woven polypropylene grocery totes I purchased on the cheap from one of my favorite grocery stores. (And yes, their logo is screen printed as big as can be with a catchy slogan right underneath.)
With the use of my custom totes, not only am I avoiding the use of those plastic bags that are so horrendously bad for the environment, I’m avoiding the irritating, plastic-bag breaking that regularly used to result in mishaps like a dozen eggs broken on my garage floor.
Here’s a tote bag similar in size and construction to my favorite, cheap grocery totes:
These generously sized totes measure 13″ x 14.5″ x 10″ and include a PE board in the bottom, which is especially helpful when you need to lug home a lot of heavy canned goods. A nice selection of colors includes black, cream, green, orange, pink, process blue, purple, red, royal blue, and white.
Another type of custom tote that is party of my vast grocery tote collection are insulated tote bags. They’re essential for lugging home all the stuff that can quickly melt into useless puddles…like popsicles. Keeping all the frozen stuff together and all the refrigerated stuff together in their own insulated tote bags does wonders at keeping the melting process at bay.

The zippered closure on theses insulated tote bags is an added bonus for keeping the cold stuff cold. Dimensions are 13″ x15″ x 9″ and they’re available in black, white, royal blue, Kelly green, forest green, red, and natural.
Here’s a shopper tote bag I’d like to add to my collection:
Bamboo Giant Panda Tote Bag
Did I mention I like generously sized tote bags? I did. This guy is 20″ x 16″ x 6″. Nice. I might be able to get the grocery lugging done in as few as six trips to the car if I owned a half dozen of these. I also love the fact that they’re made from 100% bamboo, a sustainable resource. This also makes them naturally biodegradable.
And hey…if you’re looking for custom printed tote bags in a smaller size, Show Your Logo can deliver. I’m always freaking out the cashiers and baggers by encouraging them to fill my own large tote bags to the brim. (“Isn’t that going to be too heavy?”) I used to push a triplet stroller loaded down with three toddlers and drag the grocery store cart behind me loaded down with seven gallons of milk, enough Diet Coke to kill a dozen lab rats, and boxes of diapers that barely fit in my SUV. You can’t scare me with a heavily burdened, oversized grocery tote bag. I can attest to the fact that polypropylene tote bags are quite sturdy. No matter which size you prefer, feel free to weigh them down with all the groceries that will fit.
